Paul - Owner & Operator

Best friends come in 4 legs too! Growing up I had two Old English Sheepdogs, Bundles and Ralph, which ignited my passion for dogs. Many years later, Jeffrey and I became proud owners of two wonderful and very energetic rescue dogs, Casey a Mini Schnauzer, and Beau a French Brittany. In 2009, Jeffrey convinced me to leave my corporate job to play in the park. Best decision I have ever made. I have high standards when it comes to the care of my own dogs, so why don't you deserve the same.  Over the years, I have surrounded myself with a team of people who also share my passion for dogs, and the high standards while caring for them.  We run our business on one principal, what is best for your dog.  If you don't believe us, our clients will gladly tell you!

I have been walking dogs for 5+ years and 3 for those years added training with some of the city's best trainers to my belt, I am a self-professed dog nerd!  I have two senior dogs; Eddie (Jack Russel/dachshund) and Ben (beagle/border collie) who are the true loves of my life and fuel my interests in the field of all things dog. I am finalizing my CPDT-KA certification in the training field and proficient in canine CPR, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, poop eating, rescue rehabilitation, massage/calming signals and search and rescue for lost dogs. I have also completed programs to achieve certifications for trick training and Karen Pryor foundations (clicker, positive reinforcement).

As far back as I can remember I have loved animals. When I was a child I used to walk on all fours, pretending to be a dog. I've always wanted a dog so I took it upon myself to learn as much as I could about them. I am the proud owner of a black Lab Collie Mix, Spirit, who reminds me everyday how precious the lives of animals are. Rescued by the Toronto Humane Society as a stray; love, patience, and consistency has shaped her into a happier and healthier dog. I believe every animal deserves a chance at greatness and I adore giving them the tools to explore and connect with the world around them. The bond between humans and dogs is incredible and I love engaging dogs in activities that stimulate their bodies and minds.

I have a profound respect for animals and believe that they play an important role in our world.  They have much to teach us if we pay attention, and they deserve the best of care. The black lab mix I was raised alongside in Saskatoon, SK and my sweet little beagle Abby, rescued from Kentucky, are two furry beings that compel me to work with dogs. I love thinking and writing about animals, and I also LOVE getting into the thick of it with them. Spending my weekdays at the dog park or hitting the trails with a pack, is a day very well spent in my eyes! I know how integral great exercise is to the good health and behavior of your pooch … as we say at my house: a good beagle is a sleepy beagle!

Jeffrey - Founder

I came upon dog walking quite by accident 9 years ago, however loved it from the moment I started.  My lifelong passion for animals, combined with a strong work ethic, led to the formation of bow wow walkers.  Over the years the company has grown beyond my expectations, and the relationships that have been built with clients and their pups, has been an amazing and rewarding experience.  Although I am no longer involved in the day to day walking, I still have a hand in the business as a support/mentor for the Bow Wow team.

Casey & Beau

The presidents of Bow Wow Walkers.  Brothers who are inseparable, love to swim, wrestle and are obsessed with their 2 legged squeaky ball.  Squirrels better beware, as these two are highly alert pups patrolling the parks. Casey & Beau love showing the ropes to the new dogs, they give extra love to the senior dogs, while helping in the day to day operations. Your dog is in good hands with these two on the job!
